DAVAO DE ORO — Nine former rebels received financial assistance under the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) during a turnover ceremony on October 5, 2026.
Of the nine beneficiaries, six received ₱65,000 each in immediate and livelihood assistance, while three received firearms remuneration ranging from ₱88,000 to ₱93,000, depending on the type of firearm surrendered.
The ceremony was led by Davao de Oro Governor Raul G. Mabanglo, represented by his chief of staff, Anecito Torrejos, and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Aurora Corpuz. Lt. Col. Mark Serapion Lagud Jr., commanding officer of the 25th Infantry (Fireball) Battalion under the 1001st Infantry (Pag-asa) Brigade, witnessed the turnover.
One beneficiary, identified as Alias Bryan, said the financial assistance would provide additional capital for his chosen livelihood project and help establish a new source of income.
E-CLIP is a government program that supports the reintegration of qualified former rebels into civilian life and their communities. Through immediate assistance, livelihood support, and remuneration for surrendered firearms, the program helps address some of the financial and practical challenges they may face as they transition away from armed involvement.
