The summit brought together youth participants for sessions on leadership, responsible citizenship, digital literacy and peacebuilding. The activities were designed to help participants develop practical skills while discussing their roles and responsibilities in their communities.
Beyond the discussions, participants took part in team-building activities and various competitions, including poster and slogan making, yell and guidon creation, talent presentations, video and photo editing, and a youth pageant.
The summit was jointly organized by the Youth for Peace Movement–Makilala Chapter, the 39th Infantry “Smash’em” Battalion through its Bravo “Braves” Company, the Local Youth Development Office and the Municipal Government of Makilala. Saguing National High School hosted the event.
The three-day gathering brought together young people from different parts of the municipality, giving them time to work with one another outside the usual classroom or community setting while taking part in activities focused on leadership, citizenship and peacebuilding.
